Cassandra Langer, art historian and author of ‘Romaine Brooks: A Life’; Sylvia Kahan, Professor of Performing and Creative Arts, CUNY College of Staten Island; Helen Langa, Associate Professor, Art History, American University; and Virginia Mecklenburg, SAAM Chief Curator; take an in-depth look at the fascinating life and art of Romaine Brooks. They discuss the artist’s social sphere, her life in Paris in the 1920s, and how through a unique aesthetic and persona, Brooks flouted conventional roles for women.’
