Video (43:54): filmmaker and queer artist Su Friedrich’s documentary Gut Renovation (2012) is very personal. It is about losing her home and community due to real estate developers destruction of a mostly working class neighborhood in Williamsburg. In this interview Su Friedrich talks with Jim Fouratt about the process of creating the film and loosing her home and studio.
