“A.K. Burns is an interdisciplinary artist, educator and compulsive collaborator who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Burns co-founded the artists activist group W.A.G.E. as well as co-founded and co-edited Randy—an annual trans-feminist arts magazine. Working in collaboration with A.L. Steiner, the feature-length socio-sexual video portrait, Community Action Center was released in 2010 and subsequently toured world wide, including the TATE Modern, London; Museum of Modern Art, New York and the Warhol Museum, Pittsburg.(…) Burns is currently at work on two forthcoming solo exhibitions in New York at the New Museum as well as Callicoon Fine Arts in early 2017.”
