Video (1:44:48): As a lead-up to June Pride Month and the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall, NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale presented A Sense of Pride: Visual Activists and New Identities, a one-day symposium exploring issues within the LGBTQ+ art community.
Speakers included: queer artists Najja Moon, Roberto Navarrete, Roberto Juarez, Kia LaBeija, Naima Green and GeoVanna Gonzalez; Alex Fiahlo, programs director of Visual AIDS (NY); and Requel Lopes, director of the World AIDS Museum and Education Center (Wilton Manors, FL.).
