Building the world you want to see | LGBTQ+ VR Museum | Antonia Forster
Video (3:08): Antonia Forster talks about her virtual reality LGBTQ+ museum.
“Antonia Forster used her knowledge of augmented and virtual reality to create the world’s first LGBTQ+ VR museum. The digital space is a powerful example of immersive storytelling and is built around a virtual collection of artworks, objects, and stories from the LGBTQ+ community.
While working with Antonia to host the museum in a physical space in London, we caught up with her to find out more about her journey into the world of augmented reality (spoiler – it starts with penguins…), what true representation means to her and how technology can be used as a way of achieving it.”
Video still from the trailer ‘A guided tour of the world’s first virtual LGBTQ+ museum’.
Antonia Forster’s virtual museum is a collaborative project created together with Danish academic Thomas Terkildsen from Aarhus University, Denmark.
