October 15 to November 26, 2011 Dwight Hackett projects in Santa Fe, USA presented Against Seamlessness, an exhibition of new paintings by Harmony Hammond. Harmony has told me that the exhibition catalogue, titled Harmony Hammond: Against Seamlessness is fabulous; Gorgeous color reproductions and details and writing by two amazing queer lesbian art historians Julia Bryan-Wilson and Tirza True Latimer. About Harmony Hammond
Harmony Hammond is an artist, art writer and independent curator, who lives and works in Northern New Mexico, USA. She has had over 40 solo exhibitions. Considered a pioneer of the feminist art movement, she lectures, writes and publishes extensively on feminist art, lesbian art, and the cultural representation of “difference”. Her work has been shown internationally and her ground-breaking book Lesbian Art in America: A Contemporary History (Rizzoli, 2000) received a Lambda Literary Award.
