Clarity Haynes: Collective Transmission was on diplay at The Aldrich on April 28 to September 6, 2021.
The Aldrich writes, ‘Haynes will debut two new paintings, Birth Altar, 2020–2021 (2021) and Altar for Femme Joy (2020), from her ongoing Altar series, 2000—. Haynes is also a participating artist in The Aldrich Care Box, a year-long traveling exhibition available for loan to the public.’
About the Artist
Clarity Haynes is a queer feminist American artist and writer. She is known for the Breast Portrait Project, her unconventional painted portraits of torsos, focusing on queer, trans, cis female and nonbinary bodies. Clarity and her partner Kate has adjoining studios.
