Edilène Bentzen: New Paintings

Edilène Bentzen, a painter from Aix en Provence, says:

‘I have always made lots of drawings both before and after my Fine Art studies in Brazil and in France. In my all visual work there is a confrontation, a choice and uneasy questions, which I ask myself, when I am in the process of making the work.
All the time I am exploring the desire to go searching for that which is hidden behind the surface, my inner visions of an outer world. And… I aim at presenting the world like a poet. This rather mysterious mix of all different kinds images and my color palette too corresponds no doubt with my South American origin blended together with my life as a European today.’
