Gay Kids Exhibition Coming Up In Horten, Norway
The Preus Museum in Norway is for the third time organizing the one day photo event titled ‘Fotografiens Dag’ celebrating Nordic photography with exhibitions and a seminar in August 2009. This year the theme is family photos.Photographer Lill-Ann Chepstow-Lusty’s project ‘Gay Kids’ can be seen in Horten, Noway, at ‘Fotografiens Dag’ on August 16, 2009.
For her project Lill-Ann has selected private snapshots from gay people’s family photo albums. She tells that she has collected photos from the whole country to show that gay genes do not only appear in downtown Oslo, but there are gay children all over Norway. The ‘Gay Kids’ exhibition show photos of children before they knew much about their sexuality and sexual preferences.
You can also hear Lill-Ann Chepstow-Lusty as the first guest speaker talk of the seminar of ‘Fotografiens Dag’. She will be talking about Gay Kids.

Lill-Ann Chepstow-Lusty
Lill-Ann is a professional photographer. She was born in England, has studied at Eastbourne College of Art & design in Sussex and is now working at The Museum of Cultural History at The University of Oslo. She worked with her photo projects since the middle of the 80’ies and has published five books. Her book ‘Gay Kids’ (an anthology), which was published as a part of her Gay Kids art project, is now on the curriculum of the Oslo primary schools.
