Herstory: Architect Julia Morgan (1872-1957)
Pioneering California architect Julia Morgan (1872-1957) was the first woman architect to be registered in California. When Morgan retired in 1951, she had designed more than 700 buildings. Little is known for certain about her emotional and affectional attachments, but she is believed to have been a lesbian.
