The images for “Kisser” – “The Friday Night Throwdowns were a series of illegal boxing matches that took place in Manhattan in the winter of 2010-2011. They were nicknamed the ‘male model boxing’ ring because numerous high profile male models were known to participate.
These photographs were taken at the last two matches in late 2011, and early 2012. Friday Night Throwdown was subsequently shut down by the police, indefinitely.” – iO Tillett Wright / www.darlingdays.com
