About Kim Anno
Visual artist/activist Kim Anno makes paintings, photography and video and artists’ books. Her work: Men and Women in Water Cities is work in progress. It symbolizes her own participation in the larger picture of climate change. Currently, she is Professor of Art at California College of Arts. In 2011 she took her art to the COP17, the United Nations Climate Change Convention in Durban in South Africa, and took part in the conference as a neutral observer and representative of California College of Arts.
She has made several lesbian/queer projects, taken part in lgbtq panels and is included in Harmony Hammond’s book Lesbian Art in America – A Contemporary History, (Rizzoli, 2000).
