Musée Marie Laurencin (the Marie Laurencin Museum) in Japan is dedicated to the French artist and bisexual Marie Laurencin (1883 – 1956). The museum collection of 600 works include paintings, watercolors, drawings, and prints. Laurencin’s work is also found in The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, and the Tate Gallery in London. Her work is also shown in the permanent collection of the Musée de l’Orangerie gallery in Paris, France, housing some of her most famous pieces.
