Queer Arts Festival! 2024 Event Overview

Join us for the Queer Arts Festival (QueerAF!) on Saturday, August 17, from 10am to 5pm, with an Access Hour* from 10am to 11am at the Plainfield Rec Field in Plainfield, Vermont. A one-day outdoor festival at the confluence of the Winooski/Winoskitekw River and the Great Brook, Queer AF! celebrates queer life, art, craft, and performance. Admission is free.

Come together as a community for the Main Performance from 1-2 pm. Listen to musicians performing throughout the day. Explore reimagined booths and queer art installations scattered around the festival. Participate in the kid zone, community art projects, craft demonstrations, and more activities. Take a quiet moment to visit the altar to our beloved dead, honoring queer ancestors and queer grief.

Come visit the 80+ vendors showcasing their prints, pottery, jewellery, clothing, leatherwork, paintings, photography, zines, herbal goods, food, and more. Show some love to queer artists who are making a livelihood through crafting and creativity. There will also be food and drink available for purchase from 10+ local vendors.

Come prepared to encounter many kinds of art. We are a queer event and invite artists to bring their full selves and self-expressions to the event. You may encounter art that includes and celebrates queer bodies, sex, and sexuality, as well as the rest of the rich experience of queer life.

Come as your best queer self! This event is open to all. Learn more and get in touch on Instagram at @vtqueercrafts or by email at vtqueercrafts@gmail.com, or check out our Linktree to get quick links to all our useful info.
