The museum writes: ‘The series explores the unique ways in which artists leverage their work to reclaim narratives of their lived experiences. Deborah Kass (born 1952) is an American painter and queer feminist. Her work explores the intersection of pop culture, art history, and the construction of the self. Deborah also creates prints, sculptures and neon lighting installations. Deborah Deborah Kass married artist and professor Patricia Cronin in July 2011. The artist couple is based in New York.
